President Anibal Cavaco Silva of Portugal left Istanbul for central Anatolian province of Nevsehir on Friday.
Silva and his wife Maria Cavaco Silva will visit historical and touristic places in Nevsehir.
Silva, who arrived in Turkey on May 11, held meetings with Turkish President Abdullah Gul, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Parliament Speaker Koksal Toptan. He addressed the General Assembly at the Turkish parliament and participated in Turkey-Portugal Business Forum.
Nevsehir is famous with Cappadocia region. Cappadocia is known with its fairy chimneys, carved houses and churches. Goreme open-air museum is also an attraction center for tourists in Nevsehir.
